The full moon day in the month of Ashadha (July-August) is known as Guru Poornima. This is the birth day of Guru Vyasa, son of great sage Parasara and Styavathi.. birth Day of Great Sage Vyasa... who is the guru for all great gurus...
So.,This sacred day honors the ancient lineage of enlightened beings that have graced the world with their presence, imparting the knowledge of the Self to those who seek inner transformation. The word "Guru" in Sanskrit is translated as "dispeller of darkness." Hence the Guru dispels the darkness of ignorance and leads the aspirants on the path to enlightenment.
As each moment has itsown importance, each day also has its own importance... this is the time , this is the moment ,, this is the opportunity , to show our gratitude to our great Gurus....
In vedic calander each day represents each devathas, specific cosmic vibrations in the nature, this is the day which which influence us to take us to our guru,.
. a natural force which lead us from darkness to light,..
ignorance to enlightment..
he lead us from darkness to light... he kills the demons of doubts which we find on the way...
..
Guru is like a roadmap; without the guidance of such a teacher one may eventually reach the desired destination, but could wander lost for a very long time. The day of Guru Poornima is traditionally the time when seekers offer the Guru their gratitude and receive his blessings. Guru Poornima is also considered an especially beneficial day to practice yogic sadhana and meditation.
He is the one which remove the darkness which covered us...
he reveals the light with in us....
he lead us to truth....
he lead us from lesser truth to higher truth.....
He himself the Brahma , He himself the Vishnu ,.. He himself the Siva...
he is the parambrahma... the supreme Truth...
and
There is nothing greater than Guru.... nothing greater than guru.....nothing greater than Guru...
